What is GPS?
GPS, short for global positioning system, is used to find out position of a person on the earth using network of orbiting satellites. Satellites are working 24/7, facilitating GPS in any weather condition. There are more than 24 satellites in the space, circulating in their orbit around the earth. These satellites were basically sent into the space by U.S in 1960s for military purposes but later in 1980s it was opened for public also. GPS does not require any data from user, it works independently and tells accurate position of the user within 10 meters.
