What is LED?
LED, the acronym of Light Emitting Diode, produces light when electricity is passed through it. It is a semiconductor which emits only specific colors. Earlier, it used to produce only red color but new LEDs are made of synthetic material which can emit light of any color. LEDs can efficiently produce brighter light than other lightening devices(bulbs) using less energy. It has longer life span, even it can work for decades if properly installed. LEDs are used in indicator lights, remote controls, back panel of LCD, cock displays and flashlights.
