What is Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is the networking technology that provides internet connection to devices using radio waves without any physical wire. Abbreviation of Wi-Fi is still unknown but some mistakenly consider “wireless fidelity” as its abbreviation. Wi-Fi is based on IEEE802.11 standard that is trademark of Wi-Fi alliance. Wi-Fi allows to connect devices with internet wirelessly using a modem. A modem is used to transmit wireless signals. Transmitter receives information through wired connection and converts this information into radio signals within limited boundary. To receive these radio signals, device must have wireless adopter, which will convert these signals back into information.
